The experiment will measure the growth of the a standard fast plant to the yellow-green fast plant in the different light intensities. Each quadrant of the planters has three three seeds in them and will be pruned so only one plant will be compared to the other. This will minimize any error as the experiment progresses. It will be important to record which plants sprout first and grow more quickly in the three sections. The most important data will come from the contrast of the two plants and their reaction to the harshness of the light. This will determine what kind of light different species prefer.

Today we found surprising results! The plants with the least amount of sunlight seemed to be growing faster than the plants in the direct sunlight. Here is our results: Day 3:
ReplyDeleteDirect: all grown, smallest of all- 1/2 cm tall (standard) only two have started to grow, small- 1/2 cm tall (yellow/green)
Partial: all grown, biggest of all- 1 cm tall (standard) only three growing, medium size 1/2 cm tall (yellow/green)
Indirect: three grown, medium size, almost as big as partial- 3/5 cm (standard) all grown, biggest of them all- 2/5 cm(yellow/green)
Seems that the plants in the partial light are growing the best and the plants in the direct sunlight are growing the least.
