The data collected that has been collected so far has indicated that a higher pitched tones cause an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. When the volume is increased both the heart rate and blood pressure also spike. While the results still vary between individuals there is a common trend in that the heart rate stays similar when the volume and the pitch low, while they increase when the pitch and volume is higher. While the experiment need to be tested on a wider range, currently when the factors are increased the body responds with a heightened blood pressure and heart rate.

Increasing BPM, pitch,
and volume will induce stress on the heart, causing a spike in heart rate and
blood pressure.
To discover the affect
sound had on heart rate and blood pressure we to test the tempo, pitch, and
volume. For sound our group decided that using beeps would be best since they
are artificially created and people will not associate the sound every noise. To
keep the experiment from becoming too complicated we varied the volume and the
pitch for a slow tempo at 19 BPM and an extremely fast tempo at 178 BPM. In
total eight tests will be preformed with each tempo going through high pitch
and volume, low pitch and volume, high pitch low volume, and low pitch and high
volume. Before we begin we will measure the heart rate and blood pressure. To make the experiment as accurate as possible we are going to wait
three minutes in between the soundtracks. The time in between tests will allow
the heart rate and blood pressure to return to normal, so the data will no be
compromised. Since the experiment will take a long time some people will have
to be finish being tested at a later time.

One idea for the next experiment was to explore how the different food groups affect the body. There are three different food groups that seemed like viable options to test. The first was dairy, the second grains, and the third sugars. In the beginning two members would stop eating one of these food groups for a week and see if there was any change in blood pressure. To test this each of us would measure our blood pressure before stopping eating one of the food groups. Then at the end of the week we would measure our blood pressure again to see if there was any variation.
Hypothesis: In cutting out diets that are high in grains, dairy, or sugars one can lower blood pressure.
