| Day 3: Plant Set Up |
Day one's work on the experiment required another screen to be placed over the middle section that will give the plants partial light, because the light filtering through one screen was too strong. Then we tested measured the light intensity to make sure the plants were getting the correct levels of light the experiment. The day ended with the seeds being planted so they could start the process of germination. On day three both of the species of fast plants had begun sprout out of the soil. Here are the measurements taken from the plants.

today was day 3, we found that some of our plants didn't grew because they were not getting the correct amount of water that they supposed to need. we also found that the plants that are getting the partial light are the plats that are growing faster and better than the other ones.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are fast!
ReplyDeleteIf you had a serious problem with the water, you might consider starting over with some pots. It is not too late to redo that part of the experiment. Water is important. If that is incorrect, it is a major issue.
Keep a close eye on those plants. Now is the time to get lots of data!!
Great job getting this post up!
Some plants did not grow as much because of the water. Said plants were the ones that were not in the direct light. The plants in the partial and indirect light have been flourishing.
ReplyDeleteWe noticed that the plants that were getting the least amount of light grew much faster than the plants with the most amount of light. We also noticed that the plants with the most amount of sunlight didn't have as much water as the plants without direct light, maybe the strong direct light dried up the water. Another reason that the plants in the indirect light are flourishing more than the direct light could be because they are trying to search for the light.
